Trialling Starlink since June 2025 on one A320 (ZK OXE) and an ATR turboprop. Air NZ is still weighing connectivity options for its domestic fleet.
Air New Zealand began a domestic Starlink trial on June 10, 2025 with Airbus A320 ZK OXE, an ATR turboprop to follow later that month. In the airline's words, it is the first airline in the world to trial Wi-Fi on a turboprop. Wi-Fi is free during the trial, and customer feedback will guide the airline's decision-making as it considers connectivity options for its domestic fleet.
