KLM chose Starlink for free Wi-Fi on intercontinental flights from mid-2027, rolled out in phases, for Flying Blue members. Its European fleet keeps Viasat, free for Flying Blue members on 68 narrowbody and regional aircraft.
KLM has chosen Starlink for free high-speed Wi-Fi on its intercontinental flights, starting in mid-2027. The service will be rolled out in phases, available in all cabin classes, and free for Flying Blue members.
Viasat announced it will deliver fast, full, and free in-flight connectivity for KLM Royal Dutch Airlines, including KLM Cityhopper, across the airline's narrowbody and regional fleets for members of its Flying Blue loyalty program, with a rollout across 68 aircraft in total.
KLM enabled the complimentary Viasat Ka-band service on half the European fleet as of 22 January 2026, with the remaining planes rolling out in the months ahead. KLM's decision to extend its Viasat partnership came 15 months after Air France chose Starlink.
